Information regarding COVID-19

As we start to re-open, please give our office time to contact you to reschedule your appointments. We have not forgotten about you.

We have made some changes to our office to make things even more safe for your return.

— Steps we are taking to welcome you back —

Patient pre-screening –

Each patient will be sent a pre-screening COVID consent & checklist by email, prior to their appointment. If a patient does not have email, we will ask them a series of COVID & health related questions over the phone before they come to the appointment. When they arrive for their appointment, they will need to fill out the consent before we can see them.

When patients arrive –

When patients arrive to the office, we ask that you remain in your car and give the office a call to let us know you have arrived. A staff member will come out to your car to take your temperature and provide you with a mask before entering the building.
Hand sanitizer will be provided when you enter the building.
To minimize the number of people in our building we will only be allowing patients booked in for treatment into the office (exceptions will be made for one parent with a young child or any others needing assistance).

Staff screening protocols –

All staff members are screened for symptoms of COVID-19 & temperatures taken daily. All staff are required to hand wash or use hand sanitizer when they arrive to work and after each patient.

Personal protection equipment (PPE) –

Extra precautions are currently being taken regarding PPE. We are currently using eyewear protection, masks, face shields, gown/jumpsuits & gloves.

Managing aerosols –

We have removed unnecessary equipment and items from the operatories. All countertops and touched surfaces are thoroughly cleaned & disinfected between each patient. Patients are given a hydrogen peroxide rinse prior to any treatment and a high-volume suction is used to reduce aerosols.

Reception & waiting room –

Plexi-glass has been placed in front of the reception areas to protect front desk workers for in-person communication with patients. We have removed all our magazine and pamphlets, closed off our play area and removed the toys, and have closed off our waiting area to comply with physical distancing.

Social distancing –

Protocols for social distancing have been implemented. Plexi-glass shields, markings on the ground in reception area, barriers between rooms, enclosing each operatory have been or are being installed. Staggering patients’ appointments so we don’t have them crossing paths.

The Fogger –

Between patient visits, we clean, disinfect, and sterilize rooms, instruments, and all surfaces in our procedure rooms and operatories. We use a machine called “The Fogger” that sprays out a hospital grade disinfectant after each appointment in which aerosols are created.
