Information collected in our office as part of your dental care is governed by our clinical records practices and by the standards of our regulatory college.

Information we collect through this website
Information you give us in a form. If you fill in a form on this site, we collect what you type into it. That normally includes your name and a phone number, and may include your email address and a short description of your dental concern.
Please only tell us what you are comfortable putting in writing. A website form is not a secure or private channel, and it is not a substitute for speaking with us. Please do not send detailed medical history, medication lists, or other sensitive health information through this website — we will go through all of that with you directly, by phone or in person.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we collect basic technical information when you visit: pages viewed, approximate location (usually the city), device and browser type, and how you arrived at the site. This is collected using cookies and similar technologies.

We do not send the contents of our forms to these services. If you describe a dental problem in a form, that description is never passed to Google or to any other analytics or advertising provider. We record only that a form was submitted, so we can tell which pages are useful to people.

Who else handles your information
We use service providers to run this website and our email, including our web hosting provider and Google. Where information is held in another country, it may be accessible to the courts and law enforcement of that country under its laws. We remain responsible for information handled by our service providers on our behalf.
How long we keep it
We keep form submissions only as long as we need them to respond to you and to keep a record of that contact. If your enquiry leads to an appointment, the relevant details are transferred into your dental record and are then kept under our clinical records retention obligations.
Keeping information safe
This site is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS), access to the website’s administration is limited to people who need it, and form submissions are sent to practice email accounts. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, which is why we ask you not to send sensitive health details through this website.
Your choices and your rights
Under BC PIPA you may ask us for access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, and withdraw your consent to our use of it (subject to legal and professional record-keeping requirements).
